Charlie Potter This album is basically what I'd been fantasising about for years before I heard it. I've listened to it so many times and it just still keeps getting better. SO rare to find this combination of complexity and enthusiasm - really really exceptionally special album, end of Tower Mockery destroys me.

Glowworms This record rules. Brook's drumming makes this record because Brooks is unlike any other drummer Mick has played with. Hardcore punk beats to dynamic blackened metallic riffs. Genius. Favorite track: Fertility Rituals.

Eric Devin Riffage, the purest. Have been a fan of Mick's stuff for ages, and this is a lovely distillation of it, no atmospherics or complex song structures. Don't get me wrong, I love Krallice as well, but you can hear the pleasure these two take in keeping it simple. Favorite track: Fertility Rituals.

brandan Listening to Oldest is like looking at one of those ape to man evolution posters, with Crom-Tech on the far left, then Orthrelm, followed by Krallice, and then Oldest. The little bits and pieces of concepts and techniques from each project have been adapted and repurposed to create something comfortably familiar yet wholly new.

I am eagerly awaiting the next evolution of Mick Barr and company's styles.
